About Us

Steve looking happy whilst giving massage

LWB provides Therapy for everyone - regardless if you participate in sport or not. There is no specific client ‘type’ – they range from young to old, recreational to semi-professional sports people, deskbound employees, manual workers, those who are injured and those just looking for regular 'maintenance'.

LWB moved to its current base - 38 Lushington Road, Eastbourne - in 2015 and the business has grown steadily since. Although the majority of my clients are from the Eastbourne area, I do have individuals who travel in from Brighton, Seaford, Bexhill, Hastings and Crowborough.

I’ve always enjoyed participating in various sports - squash, rugby, weight training and kickboxing – but the real highlight for me is seeing, through my skills as a therapist, how I can support those actively involved in their chosen field. I have previously been Lead Therapist with Portsmouth FC Ladies during the 2016/17 Season (1st Team & Development Squad) and provided Eastbourne Rugby Club with pitch-side support and treatment nights for the last 4 seasons.

It’s a real honour to work with the Great Britain Maxibasketball Squads as part of the Medical Team in my capacity as Advance Soft Tissue Therapist! We were the first ever GB Team to participate in the 2019 FIMBA World Championships held in Espoo, Finland. This was a fantastic experience and we are currently planning for the 2022 FIMBA European Championships, to be held in Malaga, where we will be taking eight Teams!

I’m proud to be a full member of the Sports Therapy Organisation, the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and the Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists. The STO is a UK membership organisation for Professional Sports Injury & Soft Tissue Therapists. CNHC is the UK register for complementary healthcare practitioners. Membership of these organisations requires that you complete a minimum number of CPD (Continuing Professional Development) hours each year – which means attending workshops and seminars, ensuring that both knowledge and skill sets are kept up to date.

Every person and condition is different and at LWB I adapt treatment plans to get the best possible result for you. My aim is to discover and treat the cause of your discomfort - not just the area where you're feeling pain. Advanced Soft Tissue Therapies are targeted at the muscles, so if your issues are muscular then LWB can help. Clients new to LWB are quite often surprised at the service that is provided; it's not just your basic massage. So if you're suffering, get in touch and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have!
